MARINE PROTECTED AREA PLANNING

I use Systematic Conservation Planning and the latest scientific research to inform the planning of marine protected areas. Most recently I have worked with the Brazilian government, NGOs, researchers and consultants to inform the planning of 3 Marine Protected areas in the state of Sao Paulo.

ATLANTIC FOREST RESTORATION

I work with NGOs and government to inform the priority sites and actions for Atlantic Forest Restoration.

Currently I collaborate with the IIS, and a brilliant group of national and international scientists (including Hugh Possingham and Hawthorne Beyer) to identify national forest restoration priority areas.

In 2012 I co-founded the Landscapes Partnerships (Parcerias da Paisagem) project with Dr. Ana Paula Giorgi, then part of Earthwatch Brazil, focused on restoring the forest in properties and citizen science.
